Advent Worship series

In this season of advent in worship we will be taking a closer look at the incarnation. Incarnation comes from a Latin word that means embodiment or to become flesh. The doctrine of the Incarnation represents the foundational and some might say scandalous claim of the Christian faith: namely that the God of the cosmos – who created all and by God’s power sustains the universe, came into the world as Jesus. Recognizing that God simply did not inspire or speak through Jesus -- No the incarnation claims that God actually became flesh and blood in Jesus and moved into the neighborhood. As Christians we believe that Jesus was more than just sent by God but that Jesus was the incarnation of God in human form the “word made flesh to dwell among us.”

We offer a place where parents can trust their children will learn the goodness of Jesus Christ. Sunday School students start with their church family in the sanctuary at 10am and then leave for Sunday School rooms at 10:30am.

Unleash new life and energize our spirit.  We ask that throughout this year you would hear us, teach us, empower us, and enrich us, with your mercy and grace, O God. Through our faith in you, embolden us to proclaim the good news and witness your love to all people, especially the least, the last and the lost. Create in us a desire to be in ministry with all your people God. Give us life sustaining water that more than quenches the thirst of this land and gives us abundant life but not so much that causes devastation.  We invite the Holy Spirit to inspire and illuminate us to carry forth your vision in building up the kingdom of God here in this time and in this place.  In the glorious name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen
